Arthur Hendriks is the founder and owner of Filmscore Media, located in Schipluiden, the Netherlands. Filmscore Media has its own professional studio and specializes in score composition and sound design for movies, games, TV series, theater productions, corporate presentations, commercials and more.
Even at a very early age, Arthur showed an interest in music, his favorite toy being a Casio keyboard.
When he was eight years old, he decided he wanted to be the conductor of a large orchestra when he grew up. From the age of ten, he sang in various choirs, and played first trumpet in the local brass band of his home town Beek for many years.
At the age of 12, Arthur took a portable tape recorder into the woods surrounding Nijmegen to record the pure sounds of nature and wildlife there. Since then, he has built his own, extensive sound library to use in his sound design work.
In his college days, Arthur remained musically active and performed as a keyboard player and singer in various bands. Nowadays he still occasionally gets up on stage – in 2008, he gave a guest performance with the well-known Dutch band Het Goede Doel.
Since 2001, he has worked as an assistant sound designer on television series such Baantjer, Grijpstra en de Gier, Flikken Maastricht and Gooische Vrouwen.
In early 2012, he arranged several compositions and was largely responsible for the sound design for a large theater production.
